SPECIAL OPERATIONS
By far, this project was my most difficult and most rewarding to date because the existing building was in such disrepair when we began. The exterior stone needed to be removed piece by piece and replaced using new mortar. Inside, we had to shore and brace the roof and walls to protect the failing structure while building a new structure trhough and around the shoring system. As a result of the challenges we faced, I developed an appreciation and fascination for the restoration of historic buildings that continues today. |
